Product Code: BHC-001

c2012 Dave Oddy Dreadnought

This is a rare and wonderful Dave Oddy dreadnought with sapele back and sides, adirondack top and laminated mahogany neck.  Beautifully appointed with tendril and vine bindings in green, black enamelled headstock with pearl Oddy logo and vine bindings.  The sapele body had superb graining to the wood with a lovely color.  Ebony board and bridge.

From a sound perspective, the guitar is powerful, crisp and clear with a great balance and good, immediate response.  Lively yet with a warmth not unlike mahogany.  It's a delight to play with Dave's signature neck profile.  Flat-ish to the back radius,  the neck has a bold shoulder which invites your hand into position....unusual and very characteristic of Dave Oddy. Guitars by this English master, now passed, are extremely rare to find on the market as he made so few of them. Steve Knightley of " Show of Hands" is a great fan and supporter of Dave's work......justifiably.
