1952 Gibson J-50
CITES Article 10 Certificate #554128/05
Without doubt the cleanest J-50 that I've ever had with a voice to boot !! Lovely honey coloured patination with solid mahogany rims and back with a solid sitka spruce top, all original in every way and in superb condition. Only two very tight line cracks coming from the back of the bridge about 1 1/2" long.
The J-50 is a very underrated guitar as it's vanilla and everyone wants the painted tops, but they are in actuality the classic acoustic dreadnought and in some ways are superior to the painted planks. The tops are almost invariably of better quality and they are voiced to have a clear, crisp sound without the big bottom end. Great balance and sweet harmonics meld together to create a beautiful sound in a great looking slope shoulder guitar. This is the pinnacle of those attributes.
