1951 Gibson Blonde J-185
Rare of the rare......first year of production and one of only 11 blonde examples made that year. Two scalloped tone bars for this era with the finest figured maple back and sides that one can get. Sitka spruce top with rosewood board and maltese inlaid bridge. This guitar is structuarlly original throughout and is unmolested inside. Two top cracks that have been cleated are evident as they are the only cracks that it has. The headstock has the classic "stinger" on the back of the headstock and retains it's original gilt keystone keyed tuners. Overall, the guitar has been played and has a brilliant, fat voice with a prominent bottom end that compliiments the rest of the strings. Lovely in the hand and to the ear.......Nothing is as Good as a Gibson !!
