1950 C.F. Martin 000-21
CITES Article 10 Certificate #556465/02
A beautiful example of the Martin 000-21. Of great, venerable age and in lovely, played condition but being all original, this brazilian rosewood 000 is a beautiful instrument to play and to hear. Like it's similiar examples, it has a woody, warm and very attractive sound with great harmonics and a very lingering sustain. Brazilian rosewood rims and back with brazilian rosewood board and bridge combine to make these guitars a romanticists dream. They are soft and whispy while being powerful and rich. The lack of ebony, being replaced with rosewood, rounds the sound and takes the hard edges off of it. So you get a guitar that truly is a fingerpickers dream. A few repaired minor cracks of no note and an original bridge with reduced height is all need mentioning along with some nice playwear. The set up was good enough not to replace the bridge with a full height example seeing as how the one on it is original and still retains form and function.
