1942 Gibson Banner Southern Jumbo

This example of the war era SJ could theoretically be the next instrument made after the rosewood prototype listed in this grouping.  Identical in many of it's features excluding the rosewood rims, the bound neck and the bottom belly bridge, it's a great example of this early war production.  White heel cap along with tapered headstock, rectangular bridge and multiple bound body of mahogany with a Adirondack Spruce top, it's a great and near mint example.  Classic sounding, the SJ is voiced to be clearer and more crisp than the J-45 with a bit more power and projection.  This example ticks all the boxes.
