1948 Gibson J-50
Rectangular bridge model......such a rare thing. Dylan's J-50 was a year before this example and they were both constructed exactly the same. Banner specs with rectangular bridge, tapered headstock, light scalloped bracing and as light as a cigar box. This era Gibson makes great noise and this is no exception to that observation. Powerful, crisp and woody, it is the epitome of the dreadnought guitar. A few healed cracks to the bottom bout that probably make it sound better and otherwise, it's all original. Find another '48 J-50 any time soon. They are like chicken lips !!!
