1956 Gibson J-45
What a beautiful guitar this is. I've had a lot of J-45's, mostly earlier than this one, but to my eye none more attractive. It's has the early adjustable saddle mechanism and a very characterful pickguard. The burst has an amber tone to it that I'm sure was by chance, but that made it quite striking. Lovely almost unplayed condition. Only one thing: a bumpkus luthier cracked the heel when doing an old neck set which has been glazed over very professionally so it's hard to detect. Otherwise, we are crack free and in great structural condition. Clear, crisp voice with all the characteristics we want from a 50's J-45.
