1927 C F Martin 0-18 Koa
This is an extremely rare Hawaiian influenced Koa 0-18. It's the only pre-1930 example of this model that I've owned and it's just sublime. All koa body with a mahogany neck and a thin, almost invisible original finish. 475 were made this year and as with all pre-war Martins, they are built with the same quality of every model of it's era, meaning forward shifted scalloped bracing and steel T bar truss rod. This all combines to create and exceptionally musical orchestra sized instrument, of a quality never rivaled by other producers. The harmonics that this generates are exceptional with long sustain and a hauntingly beautiful sweetness. An amazing fingerpickers dream !!!
