1934 CF Martin 0 18 Koa

1934 C.F. Martin 0-18 Koa

Whoo-eeee !  What a machine this is. The finest koa on the planet in a guitar that has been played more than "Dixie" !!  It's amazingly all original excluding the tuner mechanisms, which are old and probably period make-do's, but they work fine and fit the character of this doozie.  Ebony board and bridge with an all koa body, scalloped bracing lighter than the wind and playwear that speaks volumes to what this guitar has done and where it's been.  There is a repair to one side of the slot where the tuner strip is attached and is totally stable and there are various cracks and repairs, none due to misuse.......just use. And, it's not a conversion from hawaiian either.  I don't think this baby has had a night off since '34 and she makes music like she hasn't.  Crisp, clear and woody with a melody that is fat and warm and all koa.  One of the most soulful guitars that I've had and very hard not to look at.
