1949 C.F. Martin 00-18
These pre-1950 00-18's are rare things indeed and this one is extremely sweet. All original with mahogany rims and back, mahogany neck with a rosewood board and bridge. Sitka spruce top. Woody and warm with a good balance in the voice and nicely set up. Original open back tuners and a good original finish. There is a crack behind the bass tuner from being knocked which has healed well and the original bridge has lost some height over the years, but there is still a good break angle and it plays beautifully. As it plays so well and makes good music, I am reluctant to replace the bridge as it's in great shape and hasn't lost it's overall shape. Players Guitars for Guitar Players !!!!
