1956 C.F. Martin D-28
I've come to believe after all the Martin guitars that have come thru here, that the year 1957 had something special going on at the factory. Whether it was the batch of woods that were coming thru at that time or what, the guitars that I've owned from '57 have all had a very particular character and are all superb. This is another example of that thought. Lovely old D-28 with the butterscotch pickguard and in lovely condition. Brazilian rosewood rims and back with a sitka spruce top and mahogany neck. Lovely play wear and great color. The neck is really comfortable to use and the sound is, well..............classic 50's D-28. Legendary. If only we all could own one of these, there would be no more wars !!!!!!
