1964 C.F. Martin D-28
This a great example from this era and just before the changes to a black pickguard and a drop in saddle, made in 1965. Beautifully grained Brazilian Rosewood rims and back with a Sitka Spruce top and mahogany neck. All origiinal and crack free. With exceptional color and patination along with a sound that speaks to the value of brazilian rosewood as the premier tone wood. Good even balance with a thumpy bottom end and a clear range. Neck set has been done by us for a previous owner so it plays perfectly. One couldn't ask for more from this lovely example of Martin's workhorse D-28.
