1976 C.F. Martin D-41
A classic example of this model in lovely played condition. This is one of the few models made by Martin that I buy post-1969. Firstly, they weren't available before that but more accurately, they are classic examples of the 40 series Martin dreadnought. The 40 series has always appealed to me because of it's clearly unique voicing. The 41's and 45's of this era sound very similiar with a crisp clear tenor and a measure of control that gives the artist freedom to express without worrying about heady harmonics or endless sustain. They record effortlessly and provide a bit of sophistication without being blingy. A lovely machine from all accounts.
